ራስን መቀደስ፡ በጽኑ መሠረት ላይ የታነጸ አገልግሎት

ቅዱስ መጽሐፍ ከዓለም አመክንዮ በተለየ መልኩ አንድ ታላቅ እውነት ያስተምረናል፦ "ከሚቀበል ይልቅ የሚሰጥ ብፁዕ ነው" (የሐዋርያት ሥራ 20፥35)።

በቦልቲሞር M&T ባንክ ስታዲየም የተከናወነውን የሁለት ዓመት የድል ጉዞ መለስ ብዬ ስመለከት፣ ያየሁት ተራ የገቢ ማሰባሰብ ሥራን አይደለም። ያየሁት የቤተክርስቲያናችንን የደብረ ሰላም ቅዱስ አማኑኤልን ጽኑ መሠረት ነው። ይህች ቤተክርስቲያን ከተመሠረተችበት ጊዜ ጀምሮ እስካሁን በጽናት የቆመችው በሕንጻው ጥንካሬ ሳይሆን፣ ራሳቸውን፣ እውቀታቸውን እና ገንዘባቸውን ለአማኑኤል ቤት በሰጡ እህትና ወንድሞቼ መሥዋዕትነት ነው።

ራስን የመቀደስ ጥሪ

በመጽሐፈ ዜና መዋዕል ላይ አንድ ለዘመናት የሚደጋገም ጥያቄ አለ፦ "ዛሬ በፈቃዱ ራሱን ለእግዚአብሔር የሚቀድስ ማነው?" (1 ዜና 29፥5)።

ቤተክርስቲያናችንን የሚፈትኑ ጉዳዮች ሲያጋጥሙ፣ ለዚህ ጥያቄ መልስ የሚሆኑ ሰዎችን እፈልጋለሁ። በዚህ የቦልቲሞር አገልግሎት ወቅት ግን መልሱን በተግባር አገኘሁት። መልሱ ያላችሁት እናንተ እናቶች፣ አባቶች፣ ወንድሞች፣ እህቶች እና ወጣት በጎ ፈቃደኞች ናችሁ። የኩሽናው የእሳት ወላፈን፣ የስታዲየሙ ሙቀትና ብርድ ሳይበግራችሁ የቆማችሁት እናንተ፣ ለጥያቄው ሕያው መልስ ሆናችኋል።

እውነቱን ለመናገር፣ በአስተዳደራዊ እና በመሪነት ኃላፊነት ውስጥ አንዳንዴ የድካም ስሜት ይመጣል። ነገር ግን የእናንተን ጥንካሬ፣ ጽናት እና ትጋት ስመለከት እኔም እንድጸና እገደዳለሁ። እናንተ በዚያ ስታዲየም ስታገለግሉ ምግብ እያቀረባችሁ ብቻ አልነበረም፤ ሕይወታችሁን ለእግዚአብሔር እየቀደሳችሁ እንጂ። በእናንተ ታላቅ ውጤት እና ማንነት ሁልጊዜም እኮራባችኋለሁ።

የመሪነት እና የሕብረት ድል

ለዚህ የተቀደሰ ዓላማ ስኬት፣ የወንድማችን ያሬድ ጠንካራ መሪነት (Leadership) እና የቡድን መሪዎች (Team Leaders) አስተዋጽኦ የማይተካ ነበር። ለሁላችሁም ያለኝን ጥልቅ አክብሮት እገልጻለሁ። እናንተ ዓለማዊውን ስታዲየም ወደ መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎት ስፍራነት ቀይራችሁታል።

የነገው ተስፋ

ይህ የቦልቲሞር አገልግሎት ለቤተክርስቲያናችን የሕይወት መስመር እንደሆነ እናውቃለን። ደከመን ሰለቸን ሳትሉ የሠራችሁት ሥራ ቅዱስ አማኑኤልን በጽኑ መሠረት ላይ አቁሞታል። ይሁን እንጂ ጉዟችን በዚህ አያበቃም።

ለሚቀጥለው የአገልግሎት ዘመን ከዚህ የበለጠ ውጤት እንድናመጣ፣ ሁላችንም አሁኑኑ ራሳችንን እንድናዘጋጅ ጥሪዬን አቀርባለሁ። እግዚአብሔር በቸርነቱ ይርዳን። በመስጠት ውስጥ ያለውን በረከት በተግባር አይተናልና፣ በቀጣይም በበለጠ ጉልበትና አንድነት ለቤታችን እንቆማለን።

ክብርና ምስጋና ለሚረዳን አምላክ ይሁን።

The Consecrated Heart: Service Built Upon a Firm Foundation

The Bible teaches us a profound truth that contradicts the logic of the world: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35).

As I look back on our recent service at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, I realized that I wasn't just looking at a fundraising project. I was looking at the very foundation of our church, Debre Selam Kidus Amanuel. Since the day this church was established, its survival has never been about buildings or bank accounts; it has been about people who chose to give their minds, their finances, and most importantly, their very selves to the service of God.

The Question of Consecration

In the Holy Scriptures, a question is asked that echoes through the ages: "Who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the Lord?" (1 Chronicles 29:5).

When the trials of maintaining a church in the diaspora feel overwhelming, I find myself looking for an answer to that question. During this Baltimore season, I found it. I found it in the mothers and fathers, the brothers and sisters, and our vibrant youth who stood in the searing heat of the kitchen and the biting cold of the stadium.

I must be honest: there were moments when the weight of leadership felt heavy. But when I saw your tenacity, when I saw volunteers undeterred by the "breath of fire" from the ovens or the exhaustion of long hours, it was your strength that forced me to remain strong. You were not just serving food; you were consecrating your lives.

A Symphony of Service

I am immensely proud of the results we achieved, but I am even more proud of the spirit in which they were achieved. We saw a rare unity where the wisdom of the elders met the energy of the youth.

This success is a testament to the leadership that guided us. I want to express my deepest respect for our brother Yared for his unwavering leadership, and to all the Team Leaders who managed the complex logistics with grace. You transformed a worldly stadium into a theater of divine service.

The Horizon Ahead

To those who worked until they could no longer stand: your labor has placed Kidus Amanuel on a firmer foundation. You have proven that when our faith is tested, we do not shrink; we rise and build.

But our work does not end with this victory. As we look toward the next season, I ask you to keep that same fire burning in your hearts. Let us prepare ourselves spiritually and physically to achieve even greater things. May God help us to return with even more strength, for we have learned that when we give ourselves to Him, He gives us everything in return.
